a pleasure it has been to meet you and do business with you. 2007
was a very unusual year. Like most
of the rest of the country we had a killing frost on Easter weekend that put a
stop to the biggest percentage of our bloom.
We were at peak arilbred bloom and most of them never opened another
blossom. Consequently, we were
unable to evaluate seedlings last year. Even
the things that did bloom were damaged. For
the second time in history our local iris society cancelled their show.
There just wasn’t enough bloom out there to have it.
The good news is, there’s always another year. We
anticipate that 2008 will be a much better bloom year.
We have 6 arilbred introductions from Sharon McAllister.
We hope you enjoy them all, we certainly have.
We will be adding some new information to the website this year about all
of the work Shipping
prices are going up again this year. That
really bothers us but as long as the United States Postal Service continues to
raise their rates we don’t have a choice.
We already lose money on shipping every year.
There
has also been a change to the catalog. We
have changed our descriptions from the full description found in the R & I
to a shorter version. Trying to cut
down on those pesky postage charges and keep our catalogs affordable. We
have several new things this year that we hope you will enjoy.
If there is something not listed that you want, send us an email and
we’ll check to see if it is something we grow but don’t have enough of to
list. May
you all have a bountiful bloom season and a wonderful year in your iris patch. Thanks

We are offering over 1000 varieties for sale again this year. Some of them are in short supply, especially the Arilbreds and new additions. Things with an asterisk in front of the name are in limited supply. Orders will be filled on a first come, first served basis. We
love having garden guests and would love to have YOU come see our iris in
bloom. We do ask that you give us a
call first so that we will be sure to be here for you.
Being “out in the country” as we are it would be a shame for you to
drive all the way out here and not get to visit. We will ship orders starting the first week of July and ship until the end of August. No orders will be accepted after August 21st. Bonus rhizomes will be included with all orders and will be based on your order size. These are our choice but please include a wish list. Substitutions will be made with your permission only and all subs will be equal to or better than the iris you ordered.
Club orders are welcomed. Club orders start at $50 and are our choice. Please let us know whether you prefer “fewer but newer”
or “many for your penny”. Include
shipping and handling of $1.00 per $10.00 of order.
For examples a $50 order would have a shipping and handling charge of
$5.00.
